Alaska State Troopers rescued a stranded snowmobile driver yesterday. They were notified by the Apple Emergency Response Center at 2am that a man used Apple’s new Emergency SOS feature to call for help via satellite. Apple provided the man’s GPS location, and a volunteer rescue team found and rescued him.
